Sint Servaas Bridge, Maastricht. Named after Saint Servatius, the first bishop of Maastricht, the bridge has been called the oldest in the Netherlands. An original wooden structure, built by the Romans around 50 AD, collapsed in the year 1275 and was replaced in the late 13th century. It has been renovated several times, its last major renovation dating back to 1948. BWEADVSMGFINCORR:Opmaak 1 21-07-2014 17:40 Pagina 142
