10 4. Step 4: Once the scanner driver installation is complete, click the Next button to complete the setup. Click the Finish button once you see the message of successful installation. 5. Next, you will be prompted to connect the check scanner to your computer and power the unit ON. After doing so, wait a few moments for the scanner installation process to complete. You will be prompted with two (2) standard messages in the computer’s task bar:  The first message will indicate that new hardware has been detected.  The second message will indicate that the new hardware is ready to be used. It is important that you wait until you see BOTH of these messages before clicking the OK button.
