After the core matter sneezed its way outward we have been left to make sense of just how it is relevant. So we are encircling a tiny raisin in the expanding dough. What of it? The problem would seem to be our lifespan, and that we are able to think of time as a straight line, or, if we choose, as a malleable substance. Our expiration dates are less trivial when we can imagine beyond them. When a gun is fired and the bullet travels through a wall, we have the ability to know the bullet did not cease to exist. When a pendulum swings one way, we know that it will swing back. The ability to draw these conclusions makes not knowing what happens beyond our expiration dates counter-intuitive. Why are we able to imagine that which we cannot experience? It is no secret that we cannot continue infinitely. This is not a shame. From a different angle we can see that as a result of this fact, the universe requires an emotional survival in tandem with a physical one. The second law of thermodynamics supports this.
