36 Outreach Activities Film Festival The weeklong film festival that took place short- ly before the opening of the 1st HLF at Karlstor Cinema was directed towards the general public with a special interest in science. This festival al- lowed visitors to get a closer look at the abstract world of mathematics and computer science directly from their cinema seats. Each day during the festival, one or two feature films, docu- mentaries and short films were shown in which mathematics and/or computer science played a major role. About the Forum Benefit Concert The interaction of mathematics and computer science with music was on display during the SAP benefit concert on the first evening of the HLF. The concert was free to the public and donations were collected for the charity organization “Chil- dren for Tomorrow”. The concert entitled “Mo- zartiana con spirito scientifico” was performed by the SAP Symphony Orchestra under the direc- tion of Johanna Weitkamp and took place at the Heidelberg Convention Center.
