This HI hostel has an excellent location right off of the Zocalo in the center of Mexico City’s historic district, close to many of the city’s major sites, great restaurants, shopping and nightlife. I’ve stayed there twice as a solo female traveler and both times I met other solo women to travel around the city with. If you are alone and you’d prefer not to go outside after dark, there is a rooftop bar/cafe with a gorgeous view of the Cathedral, Zocalo, and city skyline so you can spend your evenings there chatting up other travelers and local hostel staff in a safe environment. The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day. The place feels very safe and secure. Republica de Guatemala No 4 Col.Centro.
