This was an amazing hostel to stay in as a solo traveler in Visby! The hostel looks a bit eerie from the outside as it is an old converted prison, but it is incredibly clean inside and the staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. Though the website has no official booking mechanism, I sent a short e-mail asking for a bed and it was waiting for me upon arrival, no problems! Non-prison rooms are available as well as miniature cabin- style lodging in the court yard. I first arrived on a weekend in the summer and it was packed with young Swedish people (party atmosphere) but my stay lasted into the week and I ended with a six-person room all to myself (very calm). Amazing location. Easy access to ferry and bus/airport as well as downtown Visby. Definitely memorable!
