The Artist House is a charming, eight-room accommodation tucked away in Patong, Thailand, on the island of Phuket. I found it on Airbnb, made an enquiry, and Warut warmly responded almost immediately. Patong Beach and the Jungceylon shopping mall are about a 20-minute walk away, and tuk tuk drivers are easy to hail from the main road. I was traveling solo, and the employees made an extra effort to ensure my safety. All of the employees are friendly, welcoming, and immediately available to advise or even book a local tour. They booked a discounted tour to Phi Phi Island for me, which was a fabulous and comprehensive deal. The daily included a delicious breakfast, the WiFi was reliable, and the hot water was plentiful. My one word of caution is regarding the lack of an elevator if you have knee or mobility issues.
