. 2 Why did the hipster burn his tongue on his pizza? ...He ate it before it was cool. The past few months have been hectic..The opening of NextDoor, Groove Armada at FACE, the return of Zombie Prom and the re-luanch of Digbeth Dining Club.. But nothing in comparison to the Summer months still to come! We’re celebrating 10 Years of The Rainbow in April, a lot has changed in those 10 Years, from the simple Rainbow Pub and roofless Courtyard to the 8 spaces we now have across the Rainbow umbrella. Now don’t get me wrong, I was only 12 years old 10 years ago so the majority of the Rainbow history is only a story to me but that doesn’t mean I don’t have a library of ridiculous stories from The Rainbow, most of which I can’t repeat! Some of my favourite memories I can talk about are from a few years ago when the Garden still had the outdoor area with the Dj booth in the shed, watching the Sun come up over Digbeth on a Sunday morning will always stick with me. Then of course, BELOW, the first party I ever came to at The Rainbow all those years ago – the Courtyard is still my favourite space to date, the atmosphere pours from the raw brick walls! There’s also been some amazing sets over the years like the time Loco Dice played b2b with Dubfire for 250 people in the Courtyard. The front and back cover of this newspaper showcase majority of the artists and brands that have graced The Rainbow over the past 10 Years, it’s been an amazing opportunity for us to share this talent with Birmingham - here’s to another 10 Years of out of order parties!
