. 16 live Lxury When Disclosure dropped their BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix late last year, there was one tune in the mix that a lot of people initially thought was an unreleased Disclosure tune but it turned out to be J.A.W.S by Lxury, since then it has gone on to receive support from Annie Mac and his remix of Hot Natured’s smash – Benediction was Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune, with this kind of support and a lot of quality music waiting to be released Lxury is on course to blow up this year. Route 94 Route 94 was one of our ones to watch from last year and he has just released his biggest tune to date ‘My Love’, which has just topped the UK top 40 chart. We’ve been fans of his from the release of ‘Forget The Girl’ 2 years ago and he is still one of our favorite producers, with such a rounded production style and many bangers already under his belt we predict even bigger and better things for Route 94 this year. Frankee Frankee is one of the rising stars in RAM’s ever expanding roster of forward thinking Drum n Bass artists. With a recent release ‘Black Heart’ that made it to the top of the beatport dnb chart, above the likes of KOVE and I AM Legion and armed with an already impressive back catalogue of tunes on RAM & Program, its safe to say Fran- kee is one to watch. His tunes have been regularly supported by the likes of Andy C, Friction, Wilkinson and our resident Drum N Bass DJ Mistanoize. Samu.l One of Birmingham’s finest producers and definitely a DJ to check out, known for his driving sets at events such as Cloak N Dagger, Blackdot & Trmnl. His distinct style of house and techno has gained him support from DJ’s including Martin Buttrich, Marco Carola & Steve Bug and armed with a string of releases on high profile labels including One Records, Infuse & Saved Records and with plenty of unreleased music Samu.l is definitely one to watch. Gorgon City After breaking through with the humongous release of ‘Real’ last year and going on to play gigs in Ibiza, festival shows and headline slots around the country for the last 12 months the guys behind Gorgon City have started to do live performances of their own material, their recent Radio 1 Live lounge performance with MNEK goes to show how far these guys have come since their Birmingham debut at Seedy Sonics back in 2012. dnb act tech/house act breakthrough producer seedy sonics: ones to watch in 2014. 2014 is well and truly in full swing so we’ve decided to pick our top 5 artists to watch out for this year, we’ve decided to spread our choices across the electronic spectrum to give a fair representation of the different style’s you have come to expect from our multi-genre parties. headline act:
