Sears Wolf Web Example

The Seer's Wolf8 want to leave their home on the other side of the world to come and live in Loam? And she thought of the fair-haired man in the black leather jacket coming from the house to talk to the tall girl. ‘Look at that!’ A sunbeam had burst through the barn window. Particles of dust appeared like tiny creatures in a fantastic airborne dance. Clover was astonished, transfixed. She lost her balance and fell. The wheat-filled sacks in the barn cushioned her. Slowly she got up—she wasn’t hurt. She dusted down her dress. That evening, taking her diary from under her mattress, she noted the unusual events that had happened—and in such a very short space of time. Besides the arrival of the Poms there was Lowan Tallow’s missing possum, and lurking somewhere in the backblocks, a strange creature called a werewolf. With a little start she realized she didn’t know exactly what a werewolf was. Grabbing the dictionary from her bookcase she turned the pages to w and read: werewolf: half-wolf, half-man. In Old English the wer part is man and a wulf means a wolf. Perhaps there’s a mistake, she thought. Running to find the only other dictionary in the house, she was amazed to read: a werewolf is a person who has been changed into a wolf or who can change himself at times into a wolf while retaining human intelligence. Clover copied down the definition, adding: This is scary. It has human intelligence. Now this sheds a new light—or shadow—on things. If the werewolf goes from one state to the other—and back again—how could it be possible to know who or what the werewolf is? When it undergoes a change, how quickly does this happen? And a person includes a woman. But more likely I think the werewolf that took Lowan Tallow’s possum, would be a man. But whoever it is, I must find out. She decided she’d speak to no one about the task she now set herself. She must keep alert and watch out for anything odd or different, looking for clues that suggested animal features in a person, possible wolfish things such as body shape and hair. She would record her investigations. And she’d use the capital letter, W, Werewolf, whenever she referred to it. Surely the Werewolf would be worried about the public finding out about him. If that happened the consequences would be terrible for any man. As to the things he might use as a disguise, she’d keep both eyes
