Bishop Charbonnel’s legacy is the commissioning of the east chancel window which was designed and fabricated in France by Etienne Thevenot c. 1858 and the west organ chamber window designed and fabricated in France by Canon Henri Philbert a few years later. Lancet windows along the north and south were commissioned over the next 50 years and supplied by Mayer & Company , Munich & New York; N.T. Lyon & Company, Toronto, and Robert McCausland Limited, Toronto. All leaded stained glass windows are scheduled for restoration. The original interior decoration was based on Celtic floral themes for the walls with the ceiling painted in deep cobalt blue and gilded stars depicting the heavenly sky.
