23 24 THE SOUTH TRANSEPT SACRED HEART OF JESUS APPOINTMENTS The two Transepts will showcase two Altars-the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The original design intent of passage doors and decorative stained glass rose windows will be realized. Decorative wood screens and statuary will be designed and installed to embellish the Altars. Two new Transept Rose Windows are being commissioned for the first time in the Cathedral’s history.
