UrbanSocialites MILLENIALS ISSUE

49 1. How long have you been writing and performing music? I’ve been writing music since the age of 10 and if you ask some of closest friends they’ll probably say I’ve been performing all my life and still doing shows ..lol but technically my 1st show as an Artist was August 2014 at Center Stage followed by Atlanta Pride Weekend at Club Rain where I shared the stage with some of the industries finest. That was an amazing experience I must say. 2.What do you use as inspiration while writing and preparing your music? I love a good beat something that gives me a good“stank face”like someone passed gas on a track and now I got write something dope to freshen things up. I’m also 420 friendly as you’ve heard in my lyrics.  3. Do you believe America is ready for aTransgender music superstar?  Yes I think it’s time whether they’re ready or not. I’m sure no one wants to hear that they’re child is different but it happens all over the world not just in America and I think someone needs to break the stereotype so people will be more accepting of each other. I believe we can coexist in a world where it’s cool to be you. 4. Have you received any negative criticism in or out of the community for being a Transgender artist? Yes and No I’ve had a few people tell I’m going against the grain but I’ve been doing that I’m still doing that in and out of the community. I’ve also gotten a lot of encour- agement from all types of people Hetro Gay Lesbian andTrans have given me the Ok so I think people wanna see“who’s really real and who’s not”and“Who’s ignorant who’s not”. But either way I just continue to do me, I’m determined :)  5. In what ways are you or do you plan to use the platform you have to bring awareness to social issues we have in the LGBTQ community. Specifically awareness to issues ourTransgender brother and sisters face? Iwantpeople to know that we are people too, we come from a family just like any other human being we are somebody’s Niece Sister or daughter and we should be treated with respect. Not allTransWomen are Sha Nae Nae andWanda like, some of us are talented intelligent articulate and well mannered taxpaying individuals who deserve the same rights as say (George Zinnerman) or anyone else.    6. Are you planning to release an EP or Mixtape with all new material anytime soon? Yes I’m releasing an EP/Mix- Tape  called“Tha Drop”early 2015. I’m working with 2 dope producers Daniela Rivera and Heval Mo- hamed. They have been amazing through this whole process of getting my music ready for the public.VeryThankful for them :) 7.What’s your vision concerning your career in the year(s) to come? What would you want your legacy to be? I would eventually like to run my own label but that will be years down the road when I cant tip in my heels anymore.lol A Few endorsements, I’d like to be a voice forTrans in the Urban and African American communities everywhere. I want to makeTrans Normal like“light skin people”. I want to be a modern day MLK or Moses somebody has got to bring us out. They say be the change you want to see in the world.  MUSIC ARTIST: BELLA B CASHBYTORRENCE SHAW URBANSOCIALITES.COM
