Gladiators Go For the Gold By Hannah Matthews hmatthewsprowler@gmail.com Union Grove Gladiator football players and cheerleaders performed against Jackson High School Sept. 29. “The cheerleaders have been working on new cheers,” said Ms. Lynne Connelly, Gladiator’s head coach. “The football players have also been learning new plays.” The Gladiators are striv- ing for a win Oct. 13 at The Super Bowl. “Our goal this year is to win,” said Ms. Connelly. “We have become more aggressive and com- petitive as a whole.” The gates open at six thirty at home, and admission is free.
