Atatürk acted as an example for many countries seeking independence. A.s the Turkish nation re-evaluates the rationale of Atatürk, thereby striving to surpass the level of contemporary civilisation, other countries may be expected to see the need to adopt, in addition to the example of independence, the rest of the principles of Atatürk which promote secularism and the rights and liberties of the individual.
