Digital India www.telecomlive.com 13TelecomLIVE October 2015 PPP will play a key role for an efficient execution of Digital India plan Umang Das, Tower and Infrastructure Providers Association Impact of Digital India by 2019 would range from broadband connectivity in all panchayats to generate huge number of jobs in IT, telecom and electronics sector. Success of this program would make India digitally empowered and leader in the usage of ICT in delivering of services such as health, education, agriculture, banking and so on. This is a challenging task and there are challenges which need to be addressed. When it comes to spectrum and telecom infra rollout bottlenecks, I must admit that this government is bringing out a complete change of approach. It is a very supportive approach where the policymakers are ensuring that most of the bottlenecks that are being faced willberemoved. But ultimately there is a need for an efficient execution of this plan of Digital India which means connect- ing every Indian with internet. Government needs to take care the minutest detail of this initiative and there has to be a seamless coordi- nation between different depart- ments. In order to successfully implement the project, I believe public private partnership (PPP) will play a very key role in collabo- rative approach rather than combative approach. It is this difference which will make things happenfasterthanotherwise.
