Maithree provides an array of services encompassing the entire life span of the child/person with special needs. Maithree celebrated its 21st Annual day on Friday the 6th of March, 2015 from 4:00 p.m onwards at Kamarajar Arangam, Teynampet. “Varnajalam” being the theme of the Annual Day, a colourful presentation of the qualities of different colours by the 9 special schools of Maithree. over 300 children with special needs, very dependent to the very independent, in the ages 2 – 18 displayed their talents. Students displayed their skills of weaving, stitching, jewellery making and there was also a sale of the products made by them. Mr. Lakshman (Chairman Emeritus , Rane (Madras) Ltd.) was the Chief Guest and Mrs.RimkuMecheri(Founder, Chennai Volunteers) was the guest of honour. Mr. Lakshman appreciated that all the participants and their teachers were extremely professional in deliverance of their shows.
