Forkum C o m m a n d e r ’s D i s p at ch Compatriots, I hope this months newsletter find you well. This month seems calm compared to the last couple of months but we are still excited about the things our camp keeps striving to do for our Confederate ancestors. We have been asked again to participate in the Veterans Day Parade in Lebanon on November the 11th. Last year we only had four from our camp to walk in the parade, we need more this year. Like the pictures on the opposing page, showing our support for the Confederate ancestors is what we are about. Its turkey shoot time, this is our 2nd annual shoot, last year was great, it’s a great time to come out and bring you kids and grand kids to shoot and when some prizes. Don’t miss it, Oct. 31st and Nov. the 7th starting around 8:00 am. It may be a little early to talk about Christmas but we need to let you know when our Camp Christmas party is and where. The date is Thursday night December 10, at 6:00 PM. We will change to a potluck style dinner, we ask you bring one our two of you favorite dishes and the camp will provided the meat and drinks. It will be held at the Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church at the corner of Leeville Pike and Castle Heights Ave, all your family are invited to attended. This is a great chance for us all to meet your better half and wonder why she put up with you! Respectfully yours, Barry L. Forkum Commander Gen. Robert H.
