For more than 40 years, Foster City has been growing up and into itself, delivering on the original vision created by its forefather, T. Jack Foster and family. As that vision is nearly realized, it’s time to pause and take stock of who we are. Our attitude has changed. We’ve grown up. And we continue to evolve with changing times. There is a unique authenticity to our experience. We’re a hugely diverse community with a whole lot of style and culture. We believe Foster City offers a quality of place unparalleled on the peninsula. A place where you can work with the best and brightest, dine around the world in 4 square miles, catch big air at the Pointe or just chill. A place where the built and natural environment are stimulating. Where there is diversity of people and thought, creating a sense of community, and where there is a vibrancy spurred by culture and activity. The quality of life is all about where and how you live, work and play. And we think we do it pretty well. As we look ahead to the year 2021 and plan to celebrate our City’s 50th birthday, we hope you see Foster City as a dynamic and cosmopolitan city offering the premier urban suburban experience on the peninsula. One that is Alive. Active. Invested. So come on in. Come visit. And stay. In this issue see what makes us who we are. Where we dine. Where we play. Where we work. What we do. We hope you learn a little something you didn’t know about us. We usher in this new publication with exciting plans for the year ahead. Thank you to the City of Foster City for providing source materials for use in the development of this issue; to the Foster City Chamber of Commerce members and advertisers; and to you, our friends and neighbors for your continued support and for allowing us to share with you the best of Foster City. We hope you like what you see! Joanne M. Bohigian, Editor
