The API numbers for the San Mateo Union High School District are higher than both the neighboring Sequoia Union High School District (which includes students in Belmont, San Carlos, Redwood City, and other communities), as well as the State as a whole. API scores have increased in the area, which indicates that the schools are constantly improving.
